I dreamt that,
I left you first,
To be with someone else.

Although you were unwilling to let me go,
You still did.

And what really left that impression on me was,
All those letters you gave me in my dream.
They were wet with tears.

Some wrote, "Maybe we weren't meant to be...."
And, the handwriting was different,
Messier than your usual handwriting.

The most troubling part is, how you wrote,
"12/2/10 will always be just a memory..." ,
And it was really crossed out,
Scribbled on,
Like you didn't want me to see these words.
But I did.


What does this all mean?
What are dreams really for?

And now, my feelings are messier than ever.
They're split apart.
Between you,
And the other person in my dream.
